Ciao! I’m Jacopo
Welcome to my blog — I’m glad you’re here.
My name is Jacopo Fornesi, and I’m a data analyst and digital marketer based in London. I started this blog to share the things I enjoy working on — data, digital design, and all the tech in between — and to document my journey as I continue growing professionally.
Whether you’re into analytics, dashboards, WordPress builds, or simply curious about how someone transitions careers (like I did), I hope you find something here that sparks your interest.
From Italy to London
I was born and raised in Italy, and in 2019, I made a big move — I packed my bags and came to London to explore new opportunities. It wasn’t always easy, and like most people who start over in a new country, I had my share of challenges: language barriers, adapting to a new culture, and finding my footing in a big city.
In 2020, I started my degree at the University of Westminster, where I later graduated with a first-class honours in Business Management (Marketing). That experience gave me a solid foundation in how businesses work — especially how they connect with people through data-driven marketing.
Changing Paths: From Marketing to Data
For years, I worked in hospitality, which taught me a lot about people, pressure, and problem-solving. But I always had an eye for digital tools, visuals, and strategy. After finishing uni, I became more and more interested in data analytics — how numbers tell a story, and how the right insight can shape smarter decisions.
So I made the shift.
Now, I’m working as a data analyst, building dashboards, analysing performance metrics, and combining my marketing background with technical tools like Power BI, SQL, and Looker Studio.
What I’ll Be Sharing Here
This blog is a bit of a digital workspace. You’ll find:
- Dashboards and data visualisation tutorials
- Tech reviews and tools I’ve found useful
- WordPress and web design tips (especially using Elementor and Kadence)
- Event recaps and learnings from conferences or meetups I attend
Some posts might be detailed guides, others more casual reflections — all written in a way that I hope feels accessible, practical, and honest.
What’s Next
I’m still learning — and that’s what I love most about this field. There’s always a new tool, a new dataset, a new way to think about how we use information. I’ll be documenting my learning journey here, and sharing what I can along the way.
If you’re also working in data or digital, or just figuring it out like I am — feel free to reach out or leave a comment. I’m always open to a good conversation.
Thanks for reading!
